Wedding Spotlight: Maryka and Andrew

Maryka and Andrew sought to have a simple, romantic and elegant wedding, surrounded by those they love most. I think you will agree that they succeeded on all counts. So much simplistic goodness all photographed by Kaboo Vang:

A beautiful simplistic bridal bouquet filled with white roses and baby’s breath.

andrew_maryka1144From the bride: We met through friends. Andrew noticed me long before he began pursuing. Eventually, he made his move and asked me on a double date to the movies. We got engaged on New Years Eve in Old Sacramento under the fireworks.

From the Bride: Don’t stress the details. Remember that at the end of the day its about getting married to the person you love surrounded by people who support you. Make the day about the two of you and let the little details fall into place.

abcd8722-copyFrom the Bride: I incorporated the tradition of something old, something borrowed and something blue. My mom bought a new diamond bracelet and gave it to me while getting ready expressing that ‘diamonds are old’ My shoes were new and I added pearls and rhinestones to the strap. I borrowed the headband I wore from my best friend’s wedding. And I wore blue panties as my something blue! :)

From the Bride: We first fell in love with the look of the venue from the outdoor cocktail area to the white drapery inside. Once meeting with the coordinators we knew that this was the place for us. The laid back and elegant vibe of Haggin Oaks was perfect. We got such a positive vibe upon our tour, not only the location but with the coordinators as well.

Wedding Spotlight: Briana & Steven

Briana and Steven’s wedding is a stunning celebration, chock full of gorgeous, unique DIY details.

Briana and Steven knew just how to craft a day that was fun and  beautiful but still had such a personal spin. It made for a day that was totally memorable and one-of-a-kind.

The talented Dee and Kris from Dee and Kris Photography beautifully captured our day. They were be far THE BEST thing to happen to our wedding. They did our engagement photos and killed it on our wedding photos. Not only are they amazing dedicated photographers, but they plan out every second of your wedding, so that you don’t have to stress about a thing. They are down to earth and make you feel comfortable in front of the camera.

Favorite Memory from Wedding Day

It is hard to pick just one moment for our wedding. I know everyone says their wedding is the best day of their life, but ours truly was. If I had to pick jut one, it would be walking down the aisle. The scenery was so beautiful, the decor was amazing and seeing my future husband at the end of the aisle was absolutely amazing.

Our Favorite Detail from Wedding Day:

Our table arrangements were probably my most favorite detail of the day.

Our Favorite DIY Element

I love the fact that we made everything because we kept everything and still use all of the decorations. Our corn hole set gets used for every BBQ and family event that we have.

Our Musical Choices:

Processional: A Thousand Years – Piano Guys

Recessional: Canon in D

First Dance: You and I – John Legend

Our Advice to those Planning Now:

Use the space wisely. This venue has so much space to work with and areas to use and decorate. The venue is so accommodating and really allows you to have full creative control, unlike a lot of other place. At the Pavilion at Haggin Oaks your wedding can be as unique as you want.

(and no, we didn’t pay her to say that!)

Charming, casual, and full of whimsy, Briana and Steven’s wedding was what it’s all about
family, a good time, and two people who are madly in love. Best Wishes and Congratulations to Briana and Steven!
